• 10th May 2008 2pm - 5pm - New Lamps For Old - Launch
  An opportunity to start exchanging inefficient light bulbs for energy efficient ones. Also support local community groups by visiting their stands and get sustainable energy help and advice from local organisations.
• 27th February 6pm - 28th February 6pm - Energy Saving Day (E-Day)
  Nationwide people are being asked to keep switched off anything that does not need to be on. E.g - lights in an empty room, televisions on standby, mobile phone chargers. For more information visit www.e-day.org.uk
• 1st December2007 - 30th April 2008 - Community Carbon Footprint Surveying
  Until the end of April 2008 residents in the Talybont on Usk Community Council Area are being asked to be carbon footprinted. All surveys are carried out by trained volunteers who live locally.

• 23rd - 3rd December 2007 - Warm Homes Week
  A number of events took place for Warm Homes week including a live band night in The Star sponsored by Talybont on Usk Energy and made carbon neutral by giving away free "pretty" energy efficient light bulbs.

  Talybont on Usk Energy had an information stall with a free prize draw. First prize was a mini toy solar electric racing car.
